Looking for a way to cool off and have a bit of fun this summer? There’s always something going on in Albuquerque! Here are a few of the LGBT+ friendly activities happening this summer that we’re looking forward to:
Albuquerque Pride 2016
The biggest LGBT+ pride event in the city, Pride 2016 stretches from June 9 to June 11 at Expo New Mexico. Events include a candlelight vigil honoring the people who began this movement; a pride parade down Central Avenue, and a Pride Beer Garden, Out Spoken Poetry Slam & Open Mic, and much more. You can check out more details on the website: http://abqpride.com/pride2016/
This is just one of several pride events happening in June, which is LGBT+ pride month. If you’re in the area or just looking for more options of ways to celebrate, events are also taking place in Santa Fe, El Paso, Los Ranchos and many other locations!
Southern New Mexico Wine Festival
Happening every Memorial Day Weekend (this year May 28th – 30th), this festival brings together wineries from throughout the state. Enjoy a long, relaxing afternoon of sampling wines and enjoying the atmosphere of music, shopping, crafts and food.
Albuquerque Isotopes Baseball
Summertime means baseball season, and the Isotopes 2016 season is well underway. You can view the schedule and buy tickets online to catch the next home game.
